Grace will be giving the European premiere of American composer David Ludwig’s Three Portraits of Isabella in Madrid on May 20, 2009. Written in 2004 after a residency at the Isabella Gardner Art Museum in Boston, Ludwig conceived the work based on paintings of Isabella Stewart Gardner:
“Each movement of this work was inspired by paintings of the patron, herself; the piece is a collection of portraits of portraits.”
The recital will also include Mozart’s Fantasy in C minor, Debussy’s L’Isle Joyeuse, and Chopin’s Sonata No. 3. Hope to see you there!

Grace recently returned from a humanitarian and educational mission for children in India and Nepal. Besides sharing and teaching music, she also worked with local organizations and institutions to discuss the many humanitarian issues affecting the development of children there. You can view photos of her experience on Flickr.
Grace will be performing a recital exploring the music of Takemitsu, Chopin, Ravel, and Debussy in Madrid on March 26th. We hope to see you there!
